About
Although this is the “Forefront Blog” it is actual the ramblings of me, Vince Antonucci. I’m the pastor of Forefront Church, but the views expressed in this blog are mine, and do not necessarily reflect the thoughts of the staff or people of Forefront.
I am probably the last person in the world you’d think would start a church. I grew up in a completely non-Christian environment, never went to church, and knew nothing of God, Jesus, or Christianity. At the age of 20 I encountered the idea of Jesus for the first time, spent months learning about Him and studying the evidence for the Bible, and ultimately decided it was true, and that I wanted to follow Jesus.
In 1997, my wife and I, our friends Tim and Lisa, and their two toddler-age kids moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia to start a church for people who don’t like church. On March 8, 1998 we had our first official service, and it’s been a wild ride ever since. At Forefront we are about three things: Loving God, Loving People, and Turning the World Upside Down. We’ve discovered that if you authentically and passionately love God and people, turning the world upside down just happens.
Currently we meet in three locations – two in High Schools on Sunday mornings, and one in a bar on Tuesday nights.
I’ve been married to my wife Jennifer since July of 1994, and we have two awesome children, Dawson and Marissa.
