So I was in Tennessee the last couple days. One of those days I was talking to my daughter (who is six) on the phone. She asked, “Daddy, what time is it where you are?” Which makes sense because in the last few years I’ve had trips to Laos and Vietnam and Israel and Arizona where the time is different.
I said, “The time is the same here as there.” She seemed very doubtful. She asked, “So what time is it there?” I looked at my watch, “10:25.” She said, very triumphantly, “See, you’re wrong, it’s 10:26 here!”
I’m afraid this may be the beginning of a long pattern of me being wrong and losing every argument with her. Please pray for me…
You crack me up! But sadly, I must agree with you….a very long pattern!
HaaHaa!! My son will be 12 next week and I still have not been able to get him to loosen up on things like that! Yes….a very long pattern! And I don’t even think it will end when they move out, probably not until they have their own children
